The IQAC have been building association with several industry and NGOs with an aim to collaborate for the best needed cause. Nothing bears more importance than helping students struggling to manage studies along with families. Walk-in exhibition of handmade, recycled, reused green products with an aim to promote entrepreneurial ideas of talented youngsters was organized by college in collaboration with Green’s Wildlife Lovers Forum, Wayanad, Kerala, Pollution Control Board, MSME Dept, Dept of Forest and other colleges are organised every year.

NSS & IQAC together strive to organise all programmes, especially extension and outreach events to instigate among all a little love and honest care for nature. Starting from Entrepreneur fair to International Seminar on Natural and Built Heritage Management, door to door disease awareness, cleaning of ponds and local area, collaborating with relevant industries/ NGOs to plan e-waste management, reaching out to school children, working with forest people to learn forest people struggles and help aware them of how to avoid forest fires and concentrate on planting endemic species all indicate our mission of being honest to nature. Student research always emphasise environmental issues like human wildlife conflict, forest fire, pollution, urban encroachment of wetlands, vulnerability assessments of natural and social hazards. The nature cause mostly remains in all activities and strategies of this college.

Collaborating with women health and awareness specialized organisations so that learning, spreading knowledge and awareness about women health issues, hygiene related right and wrong practices among girl students can be done. Female disease specific awareness programmes are organised not only for college students but also outreaching local people.
We drive towards educating both the boy and the girl about the need to think equally and rise above stereotype biasness embedded in society.
The teachers identified as mentors for college as a whole and departments in particular will look after all problems and any existence of gender issues among students.
Awareness programmes on Dementia, Alzheimer's, Brain Screening, TB, endometriosis, physical exercises, yoga are organised for inhouse members and reaching out to locals outside college.
We popularise the knowing and awareness of self defence, legal rights of women, safety and health of all, cyber crime and cyber security, human trafficking etc.
On 12th September, 2022: A Career Counselling Session stressing on scope of training in Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking by IEM Labs and EC Council along with collaboration of the college.
A Special Lecture on “Dengue awareness and Control”, Speaker Dr. Avinaba Mukherjee, Asst. Prof., Dept. of Zoology, Charuchandra College. The Cleanliness activity was under “Swachcha Bharat Abhijan” was carried out on 02/09/2022 & 22/09/2022.
On 27th and 28th September, 2022: Young Entrepreneur Promotion Fair of handmade, recycled, reused green products to promote entrepreneurial ideas of talented youngsters. The exhibition was in collaboration with Green’s Wildlife Lovers Forum, Wayanad, Kerala.
On 16th -18thNovember, 2022: Celebration of GIS Day involving industry-academia sharing and GIS based research poster competitions. Eminent speakers were Dr. Biman Ghosh, enterprise GIS Consultant, an ex- GSI chief and Sri Abhijit Sarkar, technical Director, AECOM India, young experts in GIS Industry, Sri Surya Ganguly, Manager & Consultant, Business Design, Deloitte Touché Tohmatsu India Ltd. and Sri Rana Das, an ex- Esri engineer and presently Manager, GIS NE App Devt, Reliance Jio., Sri Suryadev Chakraborty, Senior Analyst, Training Operations, PAN India, ESRI, eminent GIS Industry experts, Sri Santanu Dutta, Manager, PWC India and Sri Niladri Banerjee, Manager, Hexagon.
On 21st March, 2023: World Forestry Day celebration Seminar Lectures delivered by Forest Department scientist, Sri Anupam Ghosh about forest management issues like forest fire and human wildlife conflicts. PG students of geography presented on forest changes and human wildlife conflict in Jungalmahal, Dooars and Wayanad, Kerala.
On 24th March, 2023: World Tuberculosis Day celebration in collaboration with Behala Urban Health Department, Br. XIV, KMC with Dr. Snehendu Bikas Paruya, District Tuberculosis Officer as the speaker.
26th-29th April, 2023: Hands on Training cum Workshop/ Addon Course on Basic Molecular Biology Application organised by Central Research Laboratory for Biological Sciences of Sarsuna College, supported by BOOST programme, DST, in collaboration with Microbiologists Society, India.
On 3rd April, 2023: EndoRun programme organized by Sarsuna College with Dakshama Health & Education, BAYER, Paree as hygiene partner and Anahat Foundation as local partner. Over 100 girl students of the college participated. Famous gynaecologist, Dr. Basab Mukherjee gave seminar lecture.
On 11th May, 2023: Workshop on Tally for commerce students by Versicle Institute of Technology.
19th and 20th May, 2023: World Heritage Day celebrated by an International 2 Day Seminar “Valuing Natural and Built Heritage: Maintenance and Restoration”. The seminar was inaugurated by Sri Nirbed Roy, eminent academician and politician. Environmentalist and former Professor, IIM Joka, Dr. Jayanta Bandopadhyay, Principal scientist, ICAR-NBSS & LUP, ex- NATMO head, Dr. Tapati Banerjee, Sri Sabir Ahamed, Convenor, Know Your Neighbour and National Research Coordinator, Pratichi (India) Trust, a historian and grass root level heritage worker. An intercollege debate competition was on topic “Heritage or Technology? Valuing the Past, the Inherited or Demolishing and Developing the New?” “Remembering our History, Reviving Our Heritage’’ was discussed by Dr. Aniruddha Sanyal, documentary maker from Pennsylvania, USA, speaking to us about history of heritage buildings like that of Raja Rammohan Roy through his documentary films. Dr Durga Basu, former head, Dept. of Archaeology, University of Calcutta, Dr. Asmita Basu, Army Institute of Management, Kolkata, Sri Partha Pratim Ghosh, Pre-sales Director, PLANET, USA spoke on “Use of GIS in Restoring Heritage, Historical and Linguistic Evidences” and Smt. Urmi Bhattacharjee, Digital Enterprise Business head, Siemens, Delhi spoke about British Heritage Management and practices in natural and built heritage management.
5th June, 2023: World Environment Day celebrated by participation in programme of WBPCB and taking part in Environment related inter college quiz where Sarsuna College student group won the 1st prize.
5th June, 2023: A one-day seminar cum workshop organized on E-waste Management in collaboration with Hulladek. Dr. Abhijit Das, Associate Professor, Dept of IT, RCC Institute of IT, Kolkata was guest speaker on techniques of e-waste management.
21st June, 2023: International Day of Yoga celebrated and Dr. Puspaketu Konar, internationally famous doctor on sports medicine, musculoskeletal and manual therapy gave a special seminar lecture on lifestyle relation to bone and body pain diseases.

On 15th August, 2023: Celebration of Independence Day by flag hoisting.
On 29th August, 2023: Celebration of National Sports Day with activities on “Play India Fit India....”. Fit India Pledge, Lecture on the Importance & utility of this Day, Chess Competition, Fun Game were carried out.

On 16th September-22ndSeptember, 2023: Brain Health 2nd Part Awareness and Screening Camp, an Outreach activity in collaboration with Vivekananda College for Girls and ARDSI on the World Alzheimer’s Day and initiative partners, viz. Sarsuna, Thakurpukur, Parnasree, Behala police stations. Awareness lecture by Smt. Nilanjana, Maulik, expert in the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Diseases and elderly care and Memory Screening for ‘Pronam’ community of Kolkata Police and interested college staff.
On 5th October, 2023: A Thalassemia Awareness Camp organized jointly with Vivekananda College for Women.
On 22nd November, 2023: GIS Day Celebration by an online lecture of Dr. Anil Kumar, scientist/ engineer and Head, Department of photogrammetry and remote sensing, IIRS, Dehra Dun in Webinar “Machine Learning Models in Forest Species Mapping using Temporal Data” for students of UG, PG, Geography dept.
On 1st December, 2023: Celebration of World AIDS Day 2023 by student presentations on AIDS awareness.
On 12th December, 2023: An outreach lecture and influencing lecture was organized at RKM School, Narendrapur. Smt. Prashasti Bhattacharyya, Faculty, Dept. of Geography, Sarsuna College along with Sri Anupom Ghosh, GIS expert, Forest Dept., delivered lectures on “An Overview of GIS”, a popularizing programme targeting higher secondary level geoscience and science students so that they understand the essence of modern geography and that digital India needs training in GIS. The lecture was dissipated among many school students by social media.
On 22nd December, 2023: Botany students visit Narendrapur Ramkrishna Mission, medicinal garden and Biotechnology lab for hands on experience on medicinal plant gardening.

A Health Check Up Camp in collaboration with Rotary Club, where blood tests, pressure checkups, eye checkup, dental checkup was done.

On 11th January, 2024: College sports has been organized on college ground and premises. Both indoor and outdoor games were there.
On 13thJanuary, 2024: International Seminar on Translation Ecology and the Contemporary, organized by the Departments of English, Bengali and IQAC and Mukhabayob Journal. Felicitation of the eminent author Sri Tapan Bandopadhyay and Guest of Honour, Sri Ayathurai Santhan was followed by awesome talks by Journal Editor, Sri Debabrata Deb, by Ayathurai Santhan on “Significance of Translation in Multilingual World”, by Jaya Choudhury on “Translation Ecology in the Contemporary Times with Special Reference to Spanish Literature”. Other speakers were Sri Shyamal Bhattacharya, Nettime Sujata, Nishi Pulugurtha, Aparna Singh, Sanghita Sanyal, Sutapa Roy, Ivana Chowdhury, Ajay Varma Alluri, Madhu Sriwastav, Samit Kumar Maity, Madhumita Majumdar, Sudipta Dutta and Avirup Ghosh.
On 19th and 20thJanuary, 2024: A walk-in Young Entrepreneur Promotional Fair of handmade, recycled, reused green products to promote entrepreneurial ideas of talented youngsters was organized by college in collaboration with Green’s Wildlife Lovers Forum, Wayanad, Kerala; Know Your Neighbour and Vivekananda College for Women. The inaugural session was a seminar on Promotion of Young Entrepreneurs. Lectures were given by Sri Angshuman Mukhopadhyay, WBFS, Divisional Manager, Kolkata Forest Corporation Division, WB Forest Development Corp. Ltd. and renowned entrepreneur businessman, Sri Anirban Misra, founder chairman, TechIT, Kolkata. 50 shops were there in the fair including 2 each by WBPCB, WBFDC, MSME Dept., Greens Wildlife Lovers Forum, Kerala and KYN. While WBPCB exhibited different pollution decreasing items, recycled building materials, WBFDC exhibited and sold natural forest products from Sundarbans and other recycled forest items. MSME Dept exhibited and sold handicrafts of West Bengal, Greens sold Reused, Recycled products, organic masalas and tea, coffee along with bamboo made handicrafts and dresses too. Students sold handicrafts, recycled products like show pieces, jewellery, toys, hand-made embroidered garments and fresh made food.
On 23rd February, 2024: An educational and awareness programme on Polycystic Ovary Syndrome organized with Albert David Ltd.
On 22nd February, 2024: An outreach activity wherein Geography PG students under faculty Smt. Prashasti Bhattacharyya, to do survey, test fresh water and canal water samples, monitor air quality data and reach out to people in the industrial area of Champdany, Hooghly to make them understand the need to keep surroundings, especially canal, Ganga river banks and waterbodies dirt free, pollutant free. The need of Swachcha Bharat mission was also discussed with Municipality People.
On 3rd March, 2024: Celebration of World Wildlife Day, by a poster competition on Protect our Wildlife.
On 23rd March, 2024: Celebration of ‘Maitreyi Bandhan”by Basanto Utsav.
On 18th April, 2024: Celebration of World Heritage Day by a visit to Sabarna Roychowdhury Museum from where students can know about history of the area, Behala and Sarsuna where our college is located. Linkages to history of Kolkata and the area must be known to all. The group also visited State Archaeological Museum to know much about history of city and Bengal.
On 22ndApril, 2024: Celebration of World Earth Day by Dept. of Geography and IQAC, Vivekananda College for Women, Rani Birla Girls College on the theme Planet or Plastics? Resource persons spoke about Discourse and debate on planet vs plastics and also on plastic pollution of seas and state of Antarctica. Inter college student debate and quiz competitions also took place.
On 7th May, 2024: An internal teacher workshop on CAS and the Health Scheme.
On 18th May, 2024: One Day Workshop for all college teachers on Introduction, Modalities and Benefits of Internship in Curriculum. Dr. Debashis Biswas, Inspector of Colleges, CU was the key speaker.
Awareness Outreach Activity, carried on at Mirik, Darjeeling district, WB wherein PG Geography students with specialization on environment interacted with residents and tourists about awareness on maintaining forested slopes to prevent landslide risk, value of eco- tourism and refraining from building lavish hotels, keeping the beautiful Mirik Lake clean and free of disposed waste. Report on water analysis, environmental impact and landslide vulnerability assessment were shared with municipality town planner and other relevant officers.
On 11th June, 2024: World Environment Day celebrated by participating in WBPCB programme and inter college quiz (we stood 2nd after being jointly scoring highest).
On 18th June, 2024: A Grand Eco Event, to celebrate World Earth Day, World Water Day, World Biodiversity Day and World Environment Day, all together. There was inter-college debate on Restoration or Resilience? Possible or Impossible?, quiz on “Knowing our Environment”, nature photography and poster (a venture of the Photography Club) competitions on “Environmental Awareness Spreading and Changing Ourselves”.
On 21st June, 2024: International Day of Yoga was celebrated by Yoga Camp with students, teachers and staff on lifestyle relation to bone and body pain related diseases and their treatment.
On 25th June, 2024: An Awareness Programme on Overseas Higher Education Prospects organised in collaboration with OCS, Kolkata with Guest Speaker, Sri Sujoy Choudhury, Director, OCS.
