The Sarsuna College Students’ Union represents all students of the institution. The running of the Union is in the hands of the Union executive Committee composed of student officers elected annually and democratically. The Union is presided over by the College Principal. The Students’ Union is in regular contact with the college students and also takes care of their problems. The Union organises a college programme in the Annual Social ‘Anuranan’ of the college. All cultural programmes and sports are held successfully under the leadership of the cultural sub-committee and sports sub-committee respectively along with the other Union members. They also publish the college annual magazine, ‘Darpan’. A welfare fund only for the students will be maintained from this year to help the financially stressed students along with the previously existing Students’ Aid Fund. The Union acts as the official channel of communication between the students and the college, but keeps in mind the college norms. The Union’s aims include maintaining a good relationship among the students, teachers and non-teaching staff and ensuring consistently high academic standard. The Union also has a public face. The students get involved with the local community through voluntary services like Blood Donation Camps, etc. Selfless dedication is the keyword for all members of the College Union.
